Grounds Technician

The Grounds Technician is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of The School’s outdoor areas. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Maintain grounds, including turf, fences, walkways, ground cover, paved areas, sidewalk, parking lots,  and signage
• Maintain athletic grounds
• Maintain and trim plants, shrubs, and lawns
• Assist with school events and outdoor athletic set up
• Assist with event parking and carpool as needed

• A minimum of 2 years experience in grounds maintenance
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods of time and in extreme weather
• Ability to communicate verbally and operate a two-way radio 
• Ability to work evenings and weekends
• Knowledge of heavy duty lawn equipment including tractors and commercial lawn equipment
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
