About the role
ChildServe is seeking a creative, collaborative Graphic Designer Coordinator to bring our brand to life across print, digital, and event materials. From designing flyers and social media graphics to photographing meaningful moments with the children and families we serve, this role blends creativity with purpose. You’ll work with internal teams to meet marketing needs, support projects, and ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints—while contributing to a mission that makes a difference every day.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Graphic Design
- Conceptualize, develop, and produce brand-compliant creative content for print and digital materials including, but not limited to:
- Posters, flyers, brochures and other printed materials
- Signage and banners
- T-shirts and promotional items
- Newsletters and email blasts
- Graphics for ChildServe’s website, social media accounts, and digital signage
- Produce creative materials for special events, initiatives, and projects as assigned.
- Export and upload print-ready projects to be sent to press in accordance with print vendor guidelines.
- Encourage brand compliance throughout the organization.
- Partner with internal clients to understand and deliver on their marketing needs. Recommend alternate design or delivery ideas as appropriate.
Photography
- Photograph children with special healthcare needs and their families, internal and external events, and ChildServe staff as assigned. Photo assignments will include a mix of documentary style and posed photographs.
- Strictly adhere to HIPAA guidelines and gather necessary photo releases for each photo shoot.
Administrative Support
- Produce, proof, and coordinate printing of staff business cards and notepads.
- Regularly update internal temporary signage in all locations.
- Help with administrative work as needed, including organizing mailings, collating and binding marketing materials, filing, and general office duties.
What You’ll Need
- Full consideration will be given to applications with a cover letter, resume, and design portfolio.
- BA/BS/BFA in Advertising, Graphic Design, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Multimedia or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in graphic design (internships included).
- Ability to work onsite at ChildServe – Johnston with regular and predictable attendance.
- Experience in Adobe design software including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Familiarity with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
- Competent editing and communication skills and a strong understanding of engaging visual design.
- Experience working within and adhering to organizational brand standards.
- Creative eye for photography.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with a focus on attention to detail.
- Tactful customer-service skills for working with internal customers.
- Ability to work in the United States without need for sponsorship.
- Ability to communicate effectively in (or through) reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
