As a GPU Software Development Engineer your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

Develops and/or validates new cross OS software that delivers Media and Video (Encode, Decode, and Processing) acceleration on Intel's graphics architecture and future integrated and discrete GPUs.

Scope can spans the entire Intel Media SW stack, from media device drivers through runtimes, APIs and the application layer.

Scope also include the tools, infrastructure, and technologies necessary to develop, profile, optimize, and productize Intel GPUs or Media/graphics/GPGPU software solutions including Media IP pre-Si enabling on Simulation and Emulation, Si performance and quality optimization for Intel GPUs platforms.

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidate must possess a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineer, electrical engineer or and STEM related field with over 4+ years of experience or a master's degree in computer science, computer engineer, electrical engineer or any STEM related field 3 years of software development experience.

4+ year of experience in two or more of the following attributes:
Experience of C/C++.
Experience in modern technologies for HW video acceleration such as DirectX 9/11/12, MFTs, LibVA, OpenMAX.
Experience in video decoding and encoding for HEVC, VP9, VVC, AV1, AVC, or other new advanced codec techniques.
Knowledge in video processing techniques.
Experience in software development tools and methods on Windows or Linux.

Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in problem solving and debugging skills.
Good understanding on OS internals, experience in systems and network administration.
Knowledge and practical experience in scripting languages bash, Perl, Python.
Experience working in a production software team, Agile software development and tools (JIRA, Github).
