Searching for a permanent, full-time candidate to fill a Governance role
Responsibilities:
- Ensure effective governance processes within organization
- Implement and maintain governance frameworks, policies and procedures to ensure compliance, risk management and accountability
- Collaborate with various groups to establish and implement governance standards
- Identify areas for improvement and drive continuous enhancement of governance practices
- Develop governance framework
- Design and implement a comprehensive governance framework that aligns with organizational goals regulatory requirements and standard processes policy
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws regulations and industry standards
- Identify potential risks related to governance processes and develop strategies to mitigate them
- Conduct risk assessments and implement controls to minimize risk exposure
- Collaborate with key customers including senior management, board members and internal groups to communicate governance requirements, address concerns and develop accountability and clarity
- Deliver training sessions and educational materials to staff members on governance principles policies and procedures
- Raise awareness of governance issues
- Establish mechanisms for monitoring governance activities and performance metrics
- Generate regular reports on governance effectiveness compliance status and areas for improvement
- Lead initiatives to enhance governance processes and practices based on feedback lessons learned and industry developments
- Drive continuous improvement in governance
- Uphold and promote ethical standards and integrity in all governance related activities
- Ensure ethical decision making and behavior throughout the organization
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits of governance processes and controls
- Address audit findings and implement corrective actions as necessary
Required Skills:
- 10-15 years in risk management, with a focus on risk assessment methodologies and practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex risks and develop pragmatic solutions.
- Superb communication and social skills.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with experience in driving multi-functional initiatives and fostering collaboration.
- Proficiency in risk management tools and software applications.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct.
