Hexcel is currently seeking a Global Sourcing Intern for our Stamford, CT, USA location.
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Summer Intern to join our Global Sourcing team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in global procurement strategy, with a focus on tariff analysis and cross-functional project coordination. The intern will report directly to the VP, Global Sourcing and Supplier Quality and contribute to high-impact initiatives that support our global supply chain and compliance efforts.
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
Support the Tariff Task Force by tracking action items and coordinating follow-ups across departments
Conduct tariff impact analyses and summarize findings for leadership review
Assist in maintaining and updating tariff classification databases and Excel spreadsheets
Research trade compliance regulations and support documentation efforts
Prepare reports and presentations for internal stakeholders
Collaborate with sourcing managers on supplier data collection and analysis
Participate in mitigation planning and scenario planning
Support cost-saving initiatives through data analysis
Help streamline workflows and documentation
Attend team meetings and contribute to project discussions as necessary
Qualifications:
Sophomore or higher level in a bachelor’s degree program from an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in supply chain, Business, Economics, or a related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus
Experience with ERP systems and reporting tools is a plus (Microsoft Dynamics, PowerBI, SAP)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Interest in global trade, tariffs, and procurement strategy
Self-starter with a collaborative mindset
Prior internship or coursework in supply chain or international business preferred
Must be available to work full-time for 10–12 weeks during the summer
