The Opportunity
This position works out of our St. Paul, MN location in the Electrophysiology division.
What You’ll Work On
- Cultivate a deep understanding of the clinical applications for Abbott Electrophysiology solutions; regarded as a clinical subject matter expert.
- In collaboration with global stakeholders (Education, Marketing, R&D, Sales, etc.), develops, implements and executes education for Abbott employees on specific Therapy product technologies and sales best practices within classroom settings and/or other remote modalities.
- Develops product positioning and talk tracks during product launch which clearly and succinctly highlight the key clinical applications and benefits of Abbott technology.
- Develops, implements and executes global curricula and training content to the field through multiple channels to build field competence in the following areas to drive sales effectiveness: clinical competence, technical knowledge, customer understanding, Abbott healthcare economic strategies, resource utilization and selling ability.
- Develops metrics to assess effectiveness of educational programs and quickly implements changes to Educational programs if needed.
- Engages the global field organization through periodic visits to understand the current selling, competitive, clinical and healthcare environment and makes necessary changes to the curriculum to ensure employees are adequately trained.
- Oversees the process to ensure training materials and delivery strategies are updated and relevant to the needs of our internal and external customers through collaboration with Product Marketing, R&D, Clinical, and Education peers.
- Ensures comprehensive course materials are maintained throughout EP’s global digital platforms.
- Maintains an in-depth knowledge of Abbott products, therapies, customers and business objectives to develop, implement and execute continuing education programs for Abbott representatives. Updates all education programs on a continuous basis.
- Development of e-learning modules and virtual training courses (webinars, podcasts, VR, etc)
- Complies with all country level regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences or equivalent or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Minimum 3 years training experience in a specific therapy area or equivalent sales and/or marketing experience.
- Ability to apply the fundamental concepts and practices to conduct needs assessment and design training programs.
- Understanding and expertise in the technical aspects and application of current and new products in Therapy area.
