**This is a hybrid role working from our Fastly office 2-3 days/week (office locations: San Francisco, CA; Denver, CO; New York, NY)
The Global People Partner Director is responsible for driving talent and business outcomes for the Product and Strategy & Operations organizations of Fastly. Reporting to the VP, People Partners, a successful People Partner Director proactively works with leaders to understand business objectives and challenges and uses data to inform potential solutions. People Partners at Fastly are strong collaborators with other People Team functions and think creatively to deliver scalable, global, and people-centered initiatives that positively impact the business and the employee experience.
What You'll Do
- Partner with Product and Strategy & Operations (Business Systems, Information Technology, Analytics, Operations) leadership to help build and evolve teams that operate efficiently and maximizes the talent of its members
- Leverage data and relationships throughout the business to proactively identify and address talent issues before they impact the business, including attrition risk
- Own end-to-end change management process and planning associated with reorganizations, leadership and other transformational initiatives impacting the employee experience
- Provide ongoing guidance to managers, including performance management, compensation best practices, employee career pathing and development, and disciplinary actions
- Consult with business leaders and management on FY workforce plan and talent strategy, partnering closely with Recruitment team on hiring top talent for critical roles
- Partner closely with Talent Management and Compensation teams on the execution of annual performance and compensation activities, including talent calibration, promotions, and salary planning
- Work with business leaders to identify learning opportunities, such as modifying curriculums and conducting needs assessment for specific departments
What We're Looking For
- 12+ years of progressive experience in HR with at least 8 years in a HRBP role engaging with multiple levels to C-suite within a high growth tech company
- Extensive generalist background with experience in talent and organizational development, employee relations, performance management, HR operations, compensation & benefits, and employment law
- High proficiency in data judgment and strong ability to analyze, interpret and communicate data effectively and responsibly in order to drive business outcomes
- Strong strategic consulting and relationship management skills that enable collaboration and networking both within the HR function and throughout the organization
- Highly skilled and experienced leading client groups through change, utilizing best practices in change management
- Ability to respond to shifts in the business environment, adapt and change course when necessary
- Distinctive problem-solving skills and be adept in collaboration, business acumen and data analytics
We'll be super impressed if you have experience in any of these:
- Prior Experience supporting Product and/or Operations teams in a HRBP capacity
- Successfully establishes credibility and trust with diverse client groups
- Works proactively and with a sense of urgency
- Leads with integrity, objectivity, sensitivity, curiosity and courage
- Solid knowledge of employment laws and regulations required; multi-national knowledge beneficial
Work Hours:
- This position will require you to be available during core business hours.
