POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The position is responsible for building, implementing, and adhering to an effective EPC lean production system and processes that ensure meeting and exceeding internal and external customer needs. This includes providing organizational leadership and support, technical and administrative direction for 11 global operations sites in matters of lean tool implementation, associate training, project management, kaizen event mentoring, and continuous improvement. This role is a key contributor to the ongoing campaigns of eliminating waste and improving safety, quality, on-time performance, and productivity of people and processes. This is achieved by being a mentor and proactive change agent that promotes a continuous improvement culture. The results of these activities are quantified by improved performance in safety, total quality, on time delivery, throughput, lead time, innovative solutions, and employee satisfaction. Driving standardization throughout EPC operations is a critical characteristic of the aspirational end state.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Establish initial outline plan for strategy and roadmap, assessment, tools needed and training program for the EPC Production System and then execute and monitor performance to the plan. Includes building of the EPC Production System, increasing digitalization, extending to design.
  • Execute roll out and training and set up train the trainer concepts and materials to magnify and multiply through site enablement the advantages of the EPC production System.
  • Conduct lean production system assessments for all sites and global processes.
  • Develop with management target goals and living project lists.
  • Facilitate and train improvement activities such as Kaizen, problem solving projects etc.
  • Develop and present (training) a CIP methodology leveraging PDCA principles.
  • Coach and Mentor
  • Communicate and promote culture of continuous improvements.
  • Advise and support site managers to set targets, mitigation plans to improve processes and implementing lean.
  • Support efforts and initiatives to reduce manufacturing costs and improve efficiency. Actively engage in and inspire hands on problem solving across disciplines.
  • Set up and implement value stream culture.
  • Optimize material supply process, coordinate with lean tools with logistics and manufacturing to optimize efficiency.
  • Support building cooperative culture and networks between departments and organizations.
  • Assist in scenario planning and business case preparations.
  • Participate as an effective member of cross functional teams to develop technical strategies that support current and long-term business objectives.
  • Incorporates company vision and values into day-to-day activities and behaviors, guides and motivates others to remain committed to the EPC philosophy.
  • Ensure all projects are executed in a timely manner and deliver expected results.
  • Collaborate with all internal and external supply chain stakeholders, ensure regulatory compliance for all activities, drive consistent approaches and appearances, maintain and improve quality driving processes and standards while exemplifying EPC cultural aspirations.

 

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Travel commitment up to 50%
  • Maintain essential administrative processes.
