Your Opportunity:

As a Global Indirect Sourcing - Facilities & Ops Intern at Boston Scientific, you will…

• Gain experience interacting with internal business partners across various functions within Global Facilities and Operations
• Utilize strategic sourcing methodologies (spend analysis, market research, benchmarking, negotiation, contracting and continuous improvement) to support the category team to refine and execute category strategies that incorporate stakeholder feedback and meet Global Sourcing objectives for Quality, Services and Cost.

• Build & enhance supplier relationships to drive sourcing & supplier initiatives to meet or exceed service & deliver sustainable cost reductions, while reducing or mitigating risk

• Partner with internal business partners to identify sourcing needs, conduct buyer/market profiles, share marketplace trends, share best practices, increase value proposition, and reduce TCO.

• • Compiles and organizes data/ information to support discussions and inform decision-making.
  • Explains factual information of limited complexity to others in straightforward situations.
  • Organizes, presents and explains data/ information, primarily to internal audiences.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Construction Management, Facilities Engineering or a related field.
• Must graduate between Fall 2026 – Spring 2027. 
• Must be able to commit to program dates May 18th, 2026 - August 7th, 2026.
• Proficiency with Microsoft suites (Teams, PowerPoint, Excel) Pivot tables, Tableau & AI applications. 
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc. will not be considered.  

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Interest in obtaining a job with a Medical Device company within the Global Indirect Sourcing team upon graduation.
• Excellent communication, business acumen, emotional intelligence and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities against strict deadlines while maintaining a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and customer service.
• Willing to relocate or stay in MA.
