Legend Biotech is seeking Global Head of Growth & Competitiveness as part of the Technical Operations team based in Raritan, NJ. 

Role Overview

The Head of Growth & Competitiveness will be a member of the Global Manufacturing & Supply leadership team and will provide leadership to the global organization in driving Growth and Competitiveness throughout our manufacturing network and managing a portfolio of strategic programs to ensure delivery of our strategic objectives.  The role is responsible for building a strategic process and plan for the organization to achieve industry leading competitiveness for our cell therapy product manufactured across a global network of internal and external manufacturing sites. The role will ensure development and effective implementation of the strategic plan across the sites and the functions and will set up and monitor an effective performance management system to track progress towards our strategic objectives. The role will require proven leadership and expertise in manufacturing management, Operational excellence, transformation and managing a complex program management office.

Key Responsibilities  

• Shape, establish and lead the overall Manufacturing and Supply strategic planning process and transformation plan for the organization towards industry leading business performance and competitiveness.
• Collaborate with senior leaders across functions and manufacturing sites to set objectives aligned with our strategic objectives to ensure delivery and execution of our strategy and competitiveness plans.
• Drive planning and execution of the competitiveness and transformational initiatives across the organization and functions. Establish mechanisms and processes to monitor program performance and report on progress towards senior management regularly
• Establish and lead the strategic portfolio of projects and programs, prioritizing initiatives based on business and competitiveness impact and available resources. Optimise resource allocation and support building and reviewing business cases in support of decision making. Continuously monitor progress and ensure actions are taken to maintain focus on strategic objectives.
• Lead our competitiveness transformation, in close collaboration with teams and functions globally in our manufacturing site and global functions and our collaboration partner Johnson & Johnson. Collaborate with sites and functions to drive accountability and ensure delivery of the strategic plan and competitiveness objectives.
• Cultivate a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. Engage senior leaders across the organization to embody a continuous improvement and performance management culture
• Collaborate with our corporate functions to align the strategic objectives with corporate objectives and reporting requirements.

Key Relationships

Ability to interact with senior leaders and all levels within the global and corporate organization. Build strong relations with senior leaders across our organization and with our partner Johnson & Johnson globally. Work closely with finance department and functions to understand in depth the cost components and identify competitiveness opportunities. Key global functions are Finance, Procurement, IT, Manufacturing Science & Technology, Life Cycle Management to drive improvement initiatives throughout the lifecycle of our products 

Requirements

• B.Sc/M.Sc. in Engineering/Bioengineering or related field
• Minimally 15+ years of combined experience in Business Excellence and Operations/manufacturing Functions
• Profound strategic thinking, analytical skills, and financial acumen.
• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in leadership role in biotech/pharmaceutical manufacturing and supply organization.
