As a development strategy analyst, you’re passionate about helping organizations understand and reach their goals. You find fulfillment in that “ah-ha!” moment when your clients or leaders realize you just showed them how to transform their organization. We’re looking for someone like you—an experienced strategy consultant who can identify an organization’s long-term goals and explain how to achieve them.

This is an opportunity to have an impact on Booz Allen’s Global Defense Sector. The Global Defense Sector meets the needs of our clients as they take on our nation's most pressing challenges around the globe. As a strategy analyst on our team, you’ll engage with leaders in Booz Allen’s Defense Sector to help them develop our strategy and bring it to life. You have a curiosity mindset and will ask the right questions to draw out our objectives and vision. Your passion for defense strategy, implementation, and operations will help provide leaders with options to evolve and strengthen our defense business.

You will join a fast-paced team to support the development of our business, distilling industry trends, weighing options in our strategic trade-space, leading analyses, and reporting to senior leaders on core strategic issues. You’ll help explore how we should build our capabilities and generate business cases. You’ll support firm-wide strategic planning efforts related to portfolio planning and business reviews. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

You Have:

• 5+ years of experience in the defense industry, defense consulting, corporate strategy, corporate operations, corporate finance, or defense market analysis

• 5+ years of experience distilling complex information, developing insights, and generating work products to support a fast-paced workflow environment

• Experience working with senior leaders to gather insights and provide accurate information

• Experience with quantitative analysis

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment, collaborating when needed and completing tasks with minimal oversight 

• Ability to manage multiple projects, and prioritize important tasks

• Ability to pay attention to detail

• Bachelor's degree in Strategy, Operations, Business, Finance, or Change Management

Nice If You Have: 

• Experience supporting enterprise-wide change, including strategy development or strategy implementation

• Experience with Project Management or Change Management

• Knowledge of Booz Allen's culture

• Possession of strong time management and organizational skills

• Possession of analytical skills

• Possession of excellent presentation, and oral and written communication skills, including PowerPoint

• PMP, PROSCI, LaMarsh, or CMAP certifications
