The Opportunity:
In this role, you will report to the Onsite Manager and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.
Location: Cambridge, MA
Shift: Monday–Friday (7am - 3:30pm)
Hourly Rate: $22.50 -$23.00

What we’re looking for
Education: High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
Experience: Minimum 1+ years glass wash experience preferred and/or applicable work experience
Previous experience working in a GMP facility a plus
Knowledge of scientific products and services a plus
Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Teams experience preferred
Strong communication skills
Excellent customer service skills; display a professional can-do attitude
Perform duties with the highest regard for safety and quality
Must be flexible, motivated, and have the ability to act independently
Must be able to safely lift up to 50lbs
Must exhibit core values and behaviors (Integrity, respect, collaboration, accountability, etc)
Must be able to work in an independent manner
Must have the ability to understand, read, and write technical information

Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.
In this role you will:
Operate equipment related to processing of glassware
Collect dirty glassware from laboratories throughout customer site
Distribute clean and sterile glassware to laboratories throughout customer site
Maintain inventory of glassware and glass-washing supplies; orders and replaces items as needed.
Collect and sterilize lab coats, scrubs, and related items
Use specialized equipment such as autoclave
Handle biohazard waste for decontamination
Prepare solutions used in glassware processing
Update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures
Participate in Safety Activities
