Our Wilsonville team is currently seeking a Laminated Glass (Lami) Operator to join our production floor. If you have manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and a solid work ethic, we want to hear from you.

Position Summary:

Hartung Glass is seeking a mid-level Machine Operator to join our Insulating Glass (IG) Line on Swing Shift. This position plays a key role in the production of high-quality insulated glass units by operating and maintaining machinery used in the fabrication process.

The ideal candidate has prior experience operating manufacturing equipment, is mechanically inclined, and is committed to quality and safety. We're especially interested in candidates who bring strong leadership skills and a collaborative mindset, as this role may eventually lead a small team or help coordinate workflow on the floor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and monitor machinery on the IG line (including glass washers, spacer applicators, gas fill presses, or sealing equipment).
• Perform in-process quality checks to ensure glass units meet dimensional and visual standards.
• Load and unload glass units safely and efficiently onto and off of machinery.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and escalate maintenance needs when necessary.
• Follow production schedules and maintain production targets and efficiency goals.
• Complete basic machine maintenance, such as cleaning, checks, and lubrication.
• Accurately record production data and report any defects or process issues.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to maintain a smooth workflow.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area in compliance with company policies.
• Demonstrate leadership qualities, including initiative, accountability, and a willingness to support and guide peers when needed.

Required Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of experience operating machinery in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Ability to read a tape measure and use basic hand tools.
• Mechanically inclined with a strong eye for detail and quality.
• Comfortable working around glass and automated equipment.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand, bend, and reach for extended periods.
•  Basic math skills, including the ability to read tape measures, fractions, and decimals
• Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
• Dependable and punctual attendance

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

• This is a hands-on role in a production environment with exposure to heat, noise, and moving equipment
• Regular lifting (up to 50 lbs. and 150 lbs. with assistance), standing, bending, and reaching are required
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times (gloves, safety glasses, cut-resistant gear, etc.)
• Tasks may involve exposure to dust, glass, and cleaning materials
• Employees may rotate between workstations based on production needs
