About the role
Job Highlights:As a Geospatial Scientist, you will focus on deriving meaningful intelligence from the association of geospatial information with data in cyberspace. Topics include cyber based pattern-of-life discovery, mobility modeling, geospatial inference, and forensics on GEOINT data, as well as protection from threats to GEOINT data and methods. You will provide support to spatial and/or temporal data mining; AI; ML; spatial and/or temporal databases; cybersecurity; video, images, and digital forensics; spatial and/or temporal statistics; and automation. The Analytic Technologies Office enhances GEOINT by leveraging new sources of data and developing novel analytic techniques that deliver a geospatial dimension to multi-INT analytics, in particular to address emerging threats and mission domains. New data sources drive use of these technologies to provide accurate, timely, reliable, and scalable methods for data exploitation, integration, and analysis. Analytic Technologies includes support to the specific technology areas of automatic target recognition (ATR), geospatial signatures, geo-positioning, tracking, adversarial activity, counter proliferation, information assurance, workflow effectiveness, temporal modeling, event prediction, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML). The GEOINT Forensics, Image & Video, and Predictive Analytics pods most directly align to this technical domain but are joined in their need for technical support in this area from additional pods and programs across Research.
