Job Description
Dewberry is seeking an attentive, organized, and motivated individual to fill the role of Geospatial Project Manager. The Geospatial Project Manager will be responsible for managing GIS, Geospatial Coordination, and/or Remote Sensing projects from start to finish while ensuring our services meet our clients’ requirements including, scope, schedule, budget, and quality. They will also be responsible for helping Dewberry win new awards by ensuring client satisfaction, mining current on-call contracts, understanding and developing solutions for clients’ future requirements, and looking for new related opportunities. The Geospatial Project Manager will also recommend areas for Dewberry to invest in innovation and support continuous improvement. Responsibilities
· Manage GIS, Geospatial Coordination, and Remote Sensing projects from start to finish while ensuring our services meet our clients’ needs and quality
· Maintain strong knowledge of client/agency programs, rules and regulations and experience completing work in/for various federal agencies, as well as for state, local and commercial clients
· Develop and manage proposals, budgets, schedules, billings, and contracts
· Effectively interface with sub-consultants and any other business relationships
· Develop blogs, articles, videos, ID posts, and conference presentations of project experiences/technology solutions/information
Required Skills & Required Experience
· Bachelors' Degree or equivalent years of experience
· 5+ years of experience in the geospatial profession preferably in the role of project management, project coordination, and/or business development, with an existing network of client relationships
· Is an active member in local or national chapters of related professional organizations such as URISA, NSGIC, ASPRS, or USGIF
· Possesses strong understanding of state and local geospatial requirements including downstream applications for remote sensing data
· Good analytical ability
· Excellent communication skills, both orally and written
· Ability to create concise, clear, and compelling briefing materials and polished deliverables within tight timelines and for multiple audiences
· Possesses excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal relationship, and managerial skills
· Ability to work independently and perform on-the-fly problem solving
· Ability to work and communicate well with management, clients, and production staff
· Ability to work effectively as part of a remote, multi-disciplinary team
· Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work within a team environment
· Able to travel when necessary to client sites or other Dewberry offices
· Technical proficiency with Microsoft suite (Adobe experience preferred) and currently available virtual meeting platforms (MS Teams, Zoom, Google, etc.)
Beneficial Attributes
· Possesses or working towards PMP, GISP, ASPRS and/or other related certifications
· Possesses extensive knowledge of the specifications and production processes for geospatial data, services, and application development
