Genomic Data Software Engineer (SLC, UT)

• Design, build and test software solutions using Python for highly-automated sequencing laboratory to provide data visualization and interpretation of the millions of genomic calls. Collaborate with scientists, researchers, and lab directors to build out software architecture patterns. 
• Create API’s using Django REST Framework. 
• Use React to create User Interface (UI) for data review platform on AWS. 
• Create relational database system using PostgreSQL. 
• Deploy software using Docker. 
• Respond to operational issues and resolve complex back-end software problems, including data storage, datasets and modeling across micro-services architecture.
• Message queue implementation to sync data across different Laboratory Inventory Management System (LIMS) subsystems. 
• Automate time consuming and clinically critical processes. Build shared data modeling and UI libraries using Javascript.

Requirements: 

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, plus 2 years of experience in job offered
• Proficiency with Python, Django REST Framework, APIs, Javascript, React, Oracle or PostgreSQL, and Docker.
