JOB SUMMARY:
Provide professional genetic counseling services in specialized areas such as prenatal diagnosis, teratogens, biochemical genetics, molecular genetics, and medical genetics, as part of prenatal consultations, dysmorphology evaluations, inpatient consultations, and specified subspecialty clinics. Participate in clinical care, research, and teaching. Participate in all other activities of the Vermont Regional Genetics Center.
EDUCATION:
The minimum qualifications are a Master's Degree in genetic counseling from a program accredited by the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) and being Board Eligible or Board Certified by the ABGC.
EXPERIENCE:
1-3 years previous genetic counselor experience preferred. Β New graduates would be considered with relevant clinical experience.
