POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is housed in facilities management will complete a variety of
duties throughout the university within the field of maintenance and general
construction.
DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES:
General maintenance
mechanic duties as assigned by a Maintenance Supervisor in areas of heating,
cooling, plumbing, electrical, pneumatic preventative maintenance, and general
construction. Perform other related
duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent.
5 years of
related work experience in maintenance or construction.
Pennsylvania
Drivers License.
Alternately, the successful candidate may possess any equivalent combination of
experience and training, which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities
required to perform the essential job functions. This includes, but is not
limited to, the following:
General knowledge of heating
and cooling systems, plumbing systems, electrical and pneumatic systems, and
general construction; knowledge of and ability to use hand and portable electrical
tools; willingness to work shifts as necessary, including overtime and holidays,
ability to work with others.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the
University Community.
