Salary: $100,000 to $115,000

Job Summary

The General Manager is responsible for the overall management and coordination of all aspects of food service and unit profitability. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to lead a dynamic team in delivering world-class dining experiences and ensuring flawless operations.

Measures of Training Success:

Responsibilities encompass supervising financial and budgetary transactions to ensure effective operation and spending within budget constraints. You will also create and execute seasonal menus and marketing plans, including advertising, promotions, and sustainability campaigns, to improve business outcomes and customer satisfaction. Defining customer service standards and overseeing the recruitment, assignment, training, motivation, and disciplinary measures of supervisory and support staff is vital. Engaging with clients, management, facilities, and external partners as an Epicurean Group Representative is a pivotal element of this position.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Carry out food initiatives following the guidelines specified in proposals and in alignment with Epicurean Food Guides and Sustainability Criteria.
• Partner with the Chef to craft and introduce seasonal menus for Cafe and catering operations.
• Work with the management team to coordinate and establish activity, promotions, and sustainability plans.
• Coordinate monthly marketing and promotional material, parent/community letters, and programs.
• Oversee the costing out of all menus to determine correct selling price and profit margin.
• Craft marketing approaches to elevate business earnings and client fulfillment, making sure the implementation follows Epicurean criteria outlined in the agreement.
• Oversee all daily food service activities.

Financial: Manage Account Budget

• Thorough knowledge of budget and security of unit capital assets and original investment.
• Ensure accounts receivables are current (30 days), per contract.
• Review the unit inventory system quarterly with the District Manager. Guarantee that inventory remains up to date on a weekly basis.
• Input, research variances, and verify inventory weekly.
• Reconcile regular and flex scheduled hours and payroll hours weekly.
• Complete knowledge of payroll system, procedures, laws, and deadlines.
• Achieve pricing alignment for unit in Cafe and Catering with District Manager consent.
• Achieve or exceed revenue targets for Cafe and Catering. Monitor discrepancies on a weekly basis.
• Achieve or surpass Cafe and Catering food and labor budget. Monitor differences on a weekly basis.
• Implement and monitor consistent, accurate hiring, office, and accounting procedures to meet accounting deadlines.
• Manage labor costs by forecasting, adjusting as needed, cross-training, and using part-time student or on-call labor or on-call catering staff.
