General Maintenance Worker

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Performs all repairs, maintenance, and replacement of parts for preventative maintenance 
schedule to ensure that equipment longevity, and accurately record all pertinent data.
• Continually assess the preventative maintenance schedule to ensure that equipment longevity, 
avoidance of repairs and down time, ease of operation, and efficiency are all being maximized 
pursuant to manufacturers recommendations.
• General knowledge of automatic sprinkler systems
• Must be able to operate mower, trimmers, snow blowers, vacuums, power washers, and all 
gardening tools.
• Ability to learn and comply with the laws and regulations affecting the casino and racing 
industry.
• Excellent customer and employee relation’s skills
• Verbal communications skills.
• Valid Driver’s license
• Ability to operate company equipment and vehicles·
• Knowledge of regulatory and safety standards
• Ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple priorities in a demanding work 
environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Must be able to work in climates for all seasons, to include heat over 100°F and to 
include temperatures below Freezing.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION MISCELLANEOUS:
• Read, write, and understand complex instructions and appropriately complete all necessary 
documentation. 
• Strong communication skills.
• Organize and run special projects to ensure their proper completion.
• Must consistently have a good attitude, be friendly, outgoing, provide excellent guest service and 
always work well with fellow employees.
• Maintain regular, predictable attendance in accordance with policy.
QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or GED required. 
• Must be at least 19 years of age to work in the Casino. 
• Certifications in HVAC, Plumbing, or Basic Electricity are strongly encouraged but not 
required. 
• Must have a strong mechanical aptitude. 
• Background working knowledge with small engines and general maintenance and 
repairs.
