Implementation Engineer

Summary:
Engineer applies the principles of engineering and information technology to develop economical advanced recognition & identification solutions to address customer technical, operational, and management problems/needs. Precisely specify the functional requirements; design and test cameras, sensors, edge devices  and systems; integrate cameras, sensors, edge devices to produce the final solution; and evaluate overall effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety. In addition to design and development, may work in testing, production, or maintenance. Assists in planning project goals/methods, and presenting technical presentations.  Performs site suvey and makes recommendations to customers on site changes. Handles system installation & tuning, manages site acceptance, creates solution documentation, prepares training materials, and conduct training. Provides customer support, resolved issues, and escalates issues when necessary. Writes, implements, and maintains detailed implementation plan and reports progress against plan. Works under general supervision.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
25% Precisely specify the functional requirements; design and test advanced recognition & identification solutions with cameras, sensors, edge devices, and systems ; integrate cameras, sensors, and edge devices to produce a final solution; and evaluate overall effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety.

20% In addition to design and development, may work in testing, production, or maintenance. Assists in planning project goals/methods. Presents technical solutions.

15% Performs site survey and makes recommendations to customers on site changes. Handles system installation & tuning, manages site acceptance, creates solution documentation, prepares training materials, and conduct training.

30% Provides customer support, resolved reported issues, and escalates issues when necessary. 

10% Writes, implements, maintains detailed implementation plans and report progress against plan.

Prerequisites:
Education:    Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or the equivalent.
Experience:    3-5 years
Language Skills:    Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate in English via email, teleconference, and in-person meetings.
Mathematical Skills:    College level mathematics and logic are necessary
Reasoning Skills:    Must take initiative, be able to work independently, and  produce measurable results that positively impact the quality of the solutions.
Computer and/or Technical Skills:    Experience in Operating Systems (Windows/Linux), Video Management System, Networking Cameras, and edge devices. Good IT skills in networking, databases, and one of scripting languages (python, bash, etc.)
Experience in Security, Safety & Surveillance is a plus
