About the role

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operations of small forklift, jib crane
  • Ability to read and understand blueprint drawings, job orders.
  • Check parts to blueprint drawing and critical function sheet.
  • Check in materials, offload bars, and cut material.
  • Press mandrels.
  • Start up, operation, and shut down press machine.
  • Setup and Operation of the Saw. 
  • Set up and run mill.
  • Gives manager weekly counts of KanBan.
  • Weekly inspections for tape measures and PI tape.
  • Setup assembly room up for inspectors and PMI testing.
  • Operating the machine safely and competently in accordance with manufacturers’ operating instructions and ensuring that good safety and housekeeping. 
  • Ensure all components produced meet specifications using appropriate measuring equipment.
  • Assemble connectors listed on machine shop production schedule.
  • Inspect all parts for damage.
  • Complete assembly checklist and fulfill final written requirements of job packet.
  • Properly package connectors and additional parts for outside processing and daily shipments.
  • Maintain warehouse organization.
  • Load and offload material. 
  • Good work ethic and flexibility to work overtime and shift is a must. 
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. 
  • Must be able to contribute to continuous improvement techniques to improve output, quality, cost and delivery. 
  • Breakdown, setup, assembly, and packaging of connectors. 
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.
  • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures. 

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE 

  • Must be able to read and understand drawing and handle measuring instruments. 
  • Basic knowledge about manual milling and lathe machines.
  • Good discipline and cooperation with others. 
  • Must be able to effectively communicate (written and verbal). 
  • Keen sense of attention to detail. 
  • Experience in handling with large, heavy parts as well as smaller components. 
  • Able to stand on feet for long periods of time. 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to, eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, safety shoes and hardhats. Company uniforms must be worn at all times. Able to stand for long periods of time.
