Learn and operate specialized downhole instrumentation
Interpret real-time or recorded well data
Perform precise mechanical assembly work
Education, Qualifications & Experience
High School
5 years of Oil Field
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Reading schematics, tool diagrams, and operating procedures
Pressure testing tools and connections
Diagnosing tool failures or communication problems
Responding effectively to changing well conditions
Making operational decisions under pressure
Working Conditions
Environment
Operate in extreme weather and remote locations
Work in varying temperature and around moving machinery Hours/Shifts
24 hour call out Physical Demands
Lift and carry heavy parts and equipment (25-45lbs or more)
Standing for extended periods of time
Bending & Positioning • Visual & Sensory Requirements • Close Vision for inspecting small parts and reading gauges • Ability to distinguish colors (important for wiring) • Hear on usual sounds or engine noises for diagnosis • Work in varying temperatures • Perform physically demanding task for long shifts • Maintain concentration while performing repetitive tasks • Work long shifts in outdoor environments • Climb stairs/ladders and work around rigs safely
