We have an exciting new opening for a 2026 Electrical Engineering Intern located in Torrance, CA.

The engineering intern will work on cutting-edge electrified products and the work could involve:

• Design power electronics converters with GaN and SiC devices
• Bring-up, troubleshooting and testing of the hardware
• Test data analysis, post-processing, characterization, visualization and documentation
• Literature review regarding modelling and control schemes of multiphase machines and power converters, in normal and degraded mode.
• Build a simulation model based on industry standard topologies
• Interact with subject matter experts in systems, electric machine, power electronics, eMachine control, mechanical and thermal engineering 
• Exposure to business products and processes that drive next generation technology 
• Opportunity to innovate, create and drive a project from start to finish, taking ownership and finding solutions to meet overall goals

Basic Qualifications:

• Master student in Electronics, Mechatronics, Motor Control or Embedded Software
• Experience with task management & MS tools
• Hands-on hardware design experience, Experience with scripting in Python or MATLAB
• Solid understanding of power electronics and / or electric machine fundamentals
• Programming experience in C for embedded applications is a bonus
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes
• Good English language in writing and speaking
• Formula Student a plus
• Duration: 3-6 months

Pay Range

The pay range for this role is:

Minimum: $25 an hour

Maximum: $35 an hour 

Note that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, education, training, and/or experience.
