Full-time Stroke Neurologist

Seeking a full-time Stroke Neurologist to join our comprehensive and dynamic stroke program. The position involves a blend of inpatient consultations, ambulatory stroke clinic care, and teleneurology services. The successful candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient-centered care, contribute to educational and research activities, and advance the BIDMC mission of innovation and excellence in stroke care.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Care:

• Inpatient Stroke Service:

  • Perform inpatient consultations and provide acute stroke management, including ischemic stroke, intracerebral hemorrhage, and transient ischemic attacks.
  • Collaborate with emergency department teams, neurosurgeons, neurointerventionalists, and critical care specialists for comprehensive stroke care.
  • Participate in and oversee acute stroke response protocols, including Code Stroke activations.

• Ambulatory Stroke Clinic:

  • Conduct outpatient follow-ups and provide longitudinal care for patients with cerebrovascular disorders, such as stroke, TIA, and vascular risk factors.
  • Develop individualized care plans focused on secondary stroke prevention and lifestyle modifications.
  • Coordinate with referring providers and allied health professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

• Teleneurology Services:

  • Provide remote consultations for acute stroke and general neurology cases across BIDMC's network and affiliated facilities.
  • Participate in virtual patient management, including imaging interpretation and real-time decision-making.
