Security Officer (Unarmed)

Full-Time Overnight Position
Reading, PA (Berks County)

Starting Pay: $17.00/Hour

Shift: 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM

Responsibilities

Maintain a professional security presence at assigned client sites
Patrol the property, monitor access points, and identify safety or security concerns
Complete accurate incident and daily activity reports using Belfry Software
Respond appropriately to emergencies and security incidents
Enforce client policies and site procedures
Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and fellow officers
Follow all company and client-specific security protocols

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred, but not required
Strong communication, observation, and problem-solving skills
Dependable, punctual, and professional in appearance and demeanor
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and work in various environments
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
Flexible availability based on client scheduling needs
Must successfully pass a background check
Must attend a mandatory in-person orientation before beginning work

Pay & Benefits

Starting Pay: $17.00 per hour
Overtime pay for all hours worked over 40 in a workweek, in accordance with applicable law
40 hours of Paid Time Off, beginning to accrue after the successful completion of the probationary period
Additional $0.25/hour for active-duty military members and veterans
