Full-Time Facilities Technician - Week Day Shift

Grove is now hiring a Full-Time Facilities Technician at our Elizabethtown Fulfillment Center!

This role is considered a go-to valuable resource responsible for maintenance, mechanical repair and overall building upkeep to ensure a safe environment. This person builds rapport with vendors and internal teams to keep the building running safely and smoothly.  

Shift hours are Monday - Friday from 6:00 am - 2:30 pm.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair as needed warehouse equipment including pack stations, racking, material handling equipment, pick carts, safety equipment, flex conveyors, automated conveyor system, fans & porta-coolers, floor scrubber, IT infrastructure and equipment
• Maintain, repair, install and upgrade of facilities hardware such as doors, lighting, walls, safety railing, guard rails, dock doors, dock plates, floors, restrooms, plumbing, basic electrical such as outlet and wall switches
• Manage all outside vendor relationships such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, material handling services and repair, warehouse equipment specialist, locksmith, construction contractors and waste management in partnership with the Operations Manager
• Partner with the Safety Lead, custodial staff and front office departments to promote and ensure a safe and clean work environment
• Perform routine safety inspections on fire extinguishers and safety equipment
• Notify management of mechanical problems with the compactor or dumpsters that are not picked up as scheduled
• Alert management of any mechanical failures of equipment, damage to equipment or the facility, or any other unsafe conditions
• Walk, standing, bending, twisting, reaching up to 12 hours per day
• Lifting & pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs
• Operates PIT equipment

Skills needed:

• Must be certified in the use of forklift and material handling equipment
• At least 2 years experience working with conveyors
• At least 2 years experience working with hand and power tools
• Basic computer skills (email, inputting and resolving tickets, etc)
• Basic building maintenance skills (painting, replacing/repairing outlets, etc)

• Unload containers of product from trucks in the Inbound area of the warehouse
• You will be trained to be in either the picking or packing production areas
• When in picking or packing position in the warehouse, you will be trained to meet daily performance goals and targets for customer orders using an RF scanner or Pack customer orders quickly, securely, efficiently, and label boxes for shipping using computer
• Help maintain an organized and clean warehouse and comply with OSHA and other safety regulations and follow company guidelines regarding your work
• Physical Requirements and Work Environment include: Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, on a continual basis for shifts of 10 hours or longer per day, be able to push/pull carts and lift, pull or push up to 50 lbs. during a shift, be able to reach above shoulder level frequently, be able to work in a warehouse environment where temperatures vary with the seasons and be willing to work around equipment, forklifts, large trucks, and loud noise
• We require that you are at least 18 years of age, are legally able to work in the United States and are willing to submit a background check report
