Job Title: Full-Time Cook

Location: Hillside Boutique Hotel, Castroville, TX

Schedule: Wednesday through Sunday, 3:30 PM to 9:30 PM

Job Summary:
Hillside Boutique Hotel’s restaurant is seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and a desire to create delicious, visually appealing dishes. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of high-quality dishes, ensuring that each one meets the expectations of our valued guests.

Job Description:

• Prepare and cook a range of dishes, including appetizers, entrées, and desserts.
• Follow recipes and maintain the high culinary standards of our kitchen.
• Monitor food stock levels, placing orders as necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring equipment and utensils are properly managed.
• Handle and store food safely, adhering to food safety regulations.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and service of all orders.
• Assist with menu planning and development as needed.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Cook, with solid knowledge of cooking techniques and ingredients.
• Ability to follow recipes and uphold high-quality standards in dish preparation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work evening shifts, including weekends.
• High school diploma or equivalent; a culinary degree or certification is a plus.
