Job DescriptionA Full Stack Team Leader is needed to lead an international team of 4 developers in transforming a current solution into a scalable and maintainable SaaS platform with the micro-apps marketplace and reporting capabilities. The team leader will enforce best practices, make strategic decisions on buying or building new solutions, and mentor engineers. The technology stack for this project includes React JS, Node JS, Java, AWS, and Snowflake.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the development of the SaaS solution, from requirement gathering to deployment.
• Mentor and coach subordinates, conduct 1-1s and performance reviews
• Implement new features and user interfaces for some of our projects
• Identify areas of improvement and guide best practices for UI architecture, framework utilization, and code reuse
• Build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Backend Engineers to design and deliver high-quality functionalities
• Craft code that meets our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale web environment. Maintain and advocate for these standards through code review.
• Design durable, scalable solutions, including communicating your thought processes through written design documents and real-time reviews.
• Act as a point of escalation for issues and roadblocks encountered by the team.
• Make strategic decisions on whether to buy or build new solutions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software development experience
• 3+ years of team leadership experience
• 4+ years of React JS and Node JS
• 3+ years of software development experience with Java or Scala
• Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, EC2, ELB, IAM, S3, Lambda, EBS, EKS
• Experience with databases such as NoSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Elastic Search, Data Warehousing, OLAP, OLTP
• Experience with UI tool kits such as Javascript, React.js, Redux, Blueprint.js
• Experience with Java/Scala is preferred
• Strong experience with Agile software development methodologies and processes
• Strong experience with Git and version control
• Strong experience with SQL, NoSQL databases, and Linux
