Overview
Corporate Bank Technology has embarked on a multi-year technology refresh program that includes revitalization of "Channel" applications for payment initiation. As a Senior Engineer, you will be working on driving the development of global payment initiation platform that has React based micro frontends backed by Java powered micro-services deployed in a containerized environment. The platform has on-prem and Google cloud hosted components, and the technology stack includes open-source software hosted on Google Cloud platform, react based User Interface (UI), event streaming over Kafka, Workflow orchestration using Temporal io and datastores such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB. You'll collaborate with other Senior Engineers, Lead Engineers and Analysts on the platform embracing agile practices to incrementally add functionality, with a sharp focus on automation. You will also partner with Business and technology managers to define modules and enhancements to the application stack that provides Deutsche Bank's institutional clients ability to initiate payments in real time.

What You’ll Do
- Accountable for engineering and leading functional deliveries in Corporate Bank Technology
- Deliver state of the art solutions and be a hands-on technologist
- Implement leading technology advancements in the industry, maintain hygiene, risk, control, and stability at the core of every delivery
- Manage the software development life cycle (SDLC) of software components all the way to production, including helping support the application to resolve production issues with appropriate triaging
- Partner with User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) Design Team, Architects, Business Analysts, and Stakeholders situated in multiple regions and time-zones; at varying capacity to understand requirements
Skills You’ll Need
- Extensive experience developing Java based Microservices (preferably using Spring Boot framework)
- Extensive experience working with relational datastore such as PostgreSQL, Oracle and non-relational datastores such as MongoDB
- Relevant experience in Cloud distributed computing especially with demonstrable use of GKE, GCP Cloud Run
- Relevant frontend development experience using React JS, TypeScript, CSS, Node.JS and Redux
- Experience with workflow managers like Temporal
Skills That Will Help You Excel
- Bachelors or Masters (preferred) degree in the field of computer science and/or technology
- Cloud Engineering Skills and Certifications
- Experience with Git, Nx, npm, Gradle, Github Actions, CI/CD tools
- Exposure to Splunk/ Structured Query Language for data analysis
- Full understanding of SDLC lifecycle for software delivery including engaging with production support personnel for defect triaging and resolution
