Front-End Software Developer

Front-End Software Developer, The GSI Group, LLC, Champaign, IL. Work closely with the development team and IoT software development and support staff to create new Web and Mobile graphical applications, and to drive them to market. Create and perform unit and integration code testing, and participate in team code reviews to identify and handle bugs from anywhere in the system. Offer technical support to the internal sales and technical support staff for internal functions, customer facing APIs, and Internet-enabled applications. Contribute to the architecture of end-to-end solutions for our customers using AWS IoT and Mobile Services.

 

Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences or related field and

 

One year of experience (i) working in Web/Mobile front-end development, on iOS and Android; and (ii) using all of the following technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, AND React Native.

 

Must also have experience (i) writing unit tests, debugging, and developing for Web and Mobile applications in a client/server cloud hosted environment (AWS); and (ii) using workflow and packaging technologies like GIT, Webpack, OR Azure DevOps.

 

Experience may be gained concurrently.

 

Position eligible for telecommuting from anywhere in the US.

 

Up to 5% of domestic and international travel required.
