The Opportunity:

As a Front End Developer on our Priceless Team, you will work on our Merchant Center. The  Merchant Center allows our customers to manage every aspect of a commerce project. You will work in a distributed team to bring cutting edge features of the pricing and discounts domain to our customers while also collaborating across teams to improve code and infrastructure where necessary. Your Mission:

• Work with a modern unified tech stack, with the main components being React, Apollo GraphQL and CSS-in-JS (to name just a few)
• Improve our Merchant Center adoption of our Design System, homogenize our testing strategy, and extract common components to be open-sourced in our User Interface Kit, Application Kit or Community Kit
• Test software components around usability, functionality, and performance, relying on libraries like Jest, Cypress, and react-testing-library to ensure high quality 
• Ship changes reliably and multiple times a day; we use independent applications and feature toggles, utilizing technologies such as Kubernetes, Prometheus and Sentry to observe the health of our releases
• Close collaboration with our product manager, UX/UI designers and giving feedback early – we are confident in working on the right thing and we own it

 

What you need to succeed:

• 4+ years of experience working with JavaScript (ES2015+) and React
• 4+ years of experience with REST APIs, GraphQL and TypeScript
• Curious about technology, diligent, kind, and eager to learn and grow
• Strive for clean, functional, testable code and have high standards for quality assurance, such as code review, visual regression testing and End-to-End tests
• Excitement and ability to being on a remote-first team and working primarily on video calls and with written communication

 

Nice To Have:

• Exposure to different methods of testing frontends through tools such as Cypress and react-testing-library
