Fraud & AML Analyst

<p><strong>Role Overview:</strong></p> <p>We are seeking intelligent, driven, and analytically minded individuals to join our newly established <em>Trust &amp; Safety</em> team. As part of the <em>Risk Review</em> sub-team, you’ll play a crucial role in safeguarding our platform and customers by manually reviewing payments and transactions to detect suspicious activity and identify bad actors. You’ll also focus on delivering a positive customer experience, ensuring timely reviews so legitimate customers can continue using their accounts without unnecessary delays.</p> <p>This role requires the ability to determine when to escalate cases to Compliance or collaborate with team members for additional insight, ensuring quick and sound decision-making. You’ll receive full training and support, so don’t worry about having all the knowledge up front—we’ll equip you to succeed!</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Review and analyze transactions and customer accounts for high-risk and suspicious activity, making decisions based on your risk analysis.</li> <li>Escalate cases to compliance or consult team members for secondary reviews when needed to ensure timely decision-making.</li> <li>Contribute insights to our data models, helping to continuously improve fraud prevention.</li> <li>Report trends to assist compliance teams in investigating suspicious activities and preventing fraud.</li> <li>Use historical data to identify false positives and reinstate impacted accounts.</li> <li>Approve or reject payments and follow SOPs based on your risk analysis, ensuring minimal disruption to legitimate customers.</li> <li>Work to protect the organization and our customers while ensuring a positive experience for all.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Experience &amp; Skills We’re Looking For:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong analytical mindset: You’ll be working with complex cases&nbsp; and investigating customer accounts in detail.</li> <li>Enthusiasm for learning new things and growing within the company.</li> <li>A strong appetite for investigation and a good understanding of risk management principles, with the ability to navigate multiple internal tools (training provided).</li> <li>Excellent written and spoken English skills.</li> <li>Flexibility: You’ll be part of a growing team that provides 24/7 coverage.</li> <li>A previous experience in risk operations (fraud, AML, trust &amp; safety) is a plus</li> </ul> <p><strong>What We Offer:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Comprehensive training and ongoing support to help you succeed in the role.</li> <li>The opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the safet
