Forklift Operator - 1st Shift

The BSN SPORTS Indianapolis Production/Warehouse team is looking for an Inventory Forklift Driver in Indianapolis, IN for 1st Shift, which is from 6:00 am - 2:30 pm.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT:

As a member of the Production/Warehouse team, the Inventory Control Lift Driver plays a critical role making sure all inventory is accounted for and placed in the most efficient locations for optimizing our distribution flow. You’ll make sure products are physically and systematically in best location. This role is key to an efficient and effective operation by ensuring inventory is accurately managed.

WHAT YOU’LL DO ON A DAILY BASIS:

• Accurately manage and control inventory by checking, correcting, and resolving discrepancies in counts
• Strategically map, organize, and replenish product to support picking needs
• Develop processes for loss mitigation
• Partner with Sales teams to problem solve when inventory issues arise
• Continue to improve processes ensure accurate and timely delivery of product.

• Computer literate with knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Ability to work seasonal mandatory OT as needed and maintain excellent attendance
• Read and comprehend documents, instructions, and correspondence in English to perform job duties efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders in spoken English, ensuring clarity and understanding.
• Participate in meetings, discussions, and presentations requiring proficient spoken English skills.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing valuable insights and feedback in English.
• Learn tasks quickly, accuracy driven, personable, team oriented, and punctual with excellence in attendance. 
• Ability to add, subtract multiply and divide numbers.

PEAK SEASON (July-December) REQUIREMENTS:

• Shift hours Monday through Friday; 4am-2:30pm / 3:00pm-1:30am / 8:30pm-7:00am  
• Mandatory overtime which may include some Saturdays and Sundays.

KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION

• SAP Experience is a bonus
• Prior lift experience is a bonus
• Prior RF Scan Gun experience is a bonus
• Prior inventory control experience is a bonus
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a bonus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. Repetitive movement of the body is required on a regular basis. The position requires lifting of no less than 15-35 lbs. on a regular basis. Must be able to tolerate working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
