Summary:
Supervises employees in patient services, sanitation, cafeteria services, food production, and nutrition support. Must work some weekends.
Education:
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
- Preferred: Associate's Degree in Culinary Services and one year of food service supervisory experience, or equivalent education and experience.
Certifications:
- Required: Serve-Safe Certification
- Preferred: American Culinary Federation Certification (CMC, CEC, CWC)
Experience:
- Required: 5+ years in Cooking/Food Service
- Preferred: 5+ years in a supervisory role
Skills and Abilities:
- Food presentation, cooking principles, food safety, customer service, supervision
Job Duties:
- Food Preparation: Oversee recipe development, food prep, and presentation, ensuring food safety and diet compliance.
- Hiring: Interview, hire, train, and manage food service staff.
- Sanitation: Enforce sanitation standards and safe work practices.
- Regulations: Ensure compliance with health regulations and standards.
- Meetings: Participate in and conduct necessary meetings.
- Management: Manage staff schedules, time, attendance, and payroll.
- Process Improvement: Develop and improve departmental processes.
- Cleaning: Assist with dishwashing and cleaning duties as needed.
- Professionalism: Maintain a professional work environment and practice teamwork.
- Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned.
