About the role

Essential Job Duties:

  1. May assist in the orientation of employees.
  2. Ensures proper staffing is scheduled and/or available to perform daily activities.
  3. Counts down cash drawers as needed, handles cash and tenders
  4. Participates in the routine inspection of the department for sanitation and regulatory compliance.
  5. Coordinates and oversees daily and weekly activities/task performed by hourly Food Service Staff.
  6. Communicates any patient related problems or concerns to appropriate personnel.
  7. Submits all required documentation, accurate reports, logs in a timely, professional and complete manner. Complies with Federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures. JCAHO. Maintains a clean, sanitary working enviroment. Follows HACCP guidelines when receiving, assembling food supplies to ensure quality and safety of food supply. Completes all daily, weekly or monthly reports as outlined in the corporate policies and procedures on a timely basis meeting all prescribed deadlines.
  8. Follows facility and departmental safety policies, infection control and procedures to include incident reporting. Follows the facility’s protocols for Hazardous Waste Materials. Adhere’s to Emergency Preparedness Program. Particpates in disaster drills, as appropriate. Participates and attends departmental meetings and staff development programs as appropriate. Reads and complies with all departmental policies and procedures at GSH.

  1. Any other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications:

  • EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • EXPERIENCE: Three – (5) years experience in institutional food service operations (and with at least two (2) years in a Supervisory role preferred).
