Compass Coffee was founded in 2014 by two Marines who, after years of drinking terrible coffee on deployment, became obsessed with the quest for the perfect cup. What began as a desire to unlock the secret to perfect coffee grew into something much more significant. It was the realization that coffee is more than just a drink. Compass Coffee has since expanded to 16 cafes in and around DC where Real Good Coffee is served and communities are formed. As A Food Production Assistant You Will..

• Perform routine tasks consistently and accurately in adherence to established Food Safety, Quality, and Company protocols under the direction of the Food Program Manager.
• Take charge of cooking all ingredients related to our Breakfast Sandwich Program
• Work in a team setting to assemble breakfast sandwiches on an assembly line
• Work independently or in a team setting to complete the following routine tasks: dish washing, ingredient staging, mixing, cleaning, and inventory management.
• Display flexibility by supporting tasks beyond the Food Department as directed by the Food Program Manager to meet overarching production goals.

You'll make a great Food Production Assistant if you are:

• Able to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed.
• Thrive in a team-oriented environment.
• Detail oriented with a love for cleaning.

Summary of Experience:

• No previous food experience is required but is preferred

Basic Qualifications:

• be on your feet for 8 hours
• be able to lift 25lbs solo, 50lbs assisted
