Summary:

The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for supporting all operations of the food and beverage department. This position will assure attentive, friendly, courteous and efficient service is delivered to external and internal customers and manage customer experience, quality and compliance with corporate/brand policies and procedures while meeting/exceeding departmental goals.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Perform Manager on Duty responsibilities when required. Understand and be able to perform tasks of supervised employees and step in to assist or perform these duties when needed to ensure proper service delivery to customers.
  • Assist with scheduling, training, resolving problems, providing open communication with team members and reporting all areas of concern to supervisor.
  • Interact with the sales staff to discuss and implement sales strategies to maximize revenues (including Food and Beverage costs, upsells, etc.), ensure the service delivery exceeds client expectations and attract / retain key accounts and groups.
  • Resolve customer complaints, anticipate potential problems by reviewing and monitoring customer feedback from all sources, operational issues, business flow and associate performance to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and quality. Provide information to other departments to improve / maintain quality of service.
  • Understand and ensure staff adheres to all standards, including brand standards, related to Food & Beverage departments. Train and conduct inspections to ensure compliance.
  • Comply with certification requirements as applicable to position to include CPR/First Aid, Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, etc.
  • Assist with monthly food, beverage and supply inventories and reconciliations. Follow up on all food cost and shortages.
  • Weekly ordering for liquor, beer and wine to ensure par levels are met for occupancy and groups.
  • Have thorough knowledge of menus and know how to prepare each item.
  • Assist with creating drink (alcoholic, non-alcoholic) specials and menus.
