The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) Design Build team is seeking a Flying Testbed Technologist to join our team in Berkeley, MO. The selected candidate will be responsible for setting the configuration of a fleet of test bed aircraft in support of rapid development flight testing. Specific tasks will include configuring ground station and on-aircraft networks and antennas to support data transmission capabilities, and on-aircraft Computing and mission equipment layout and installation.
BT&E is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including: Associate, Experienced, and Senior level Flying Testbed Technologists.
Position Responsibilities Include:
- Assist in research and development (R&D) and deployment of advanced computing technologies
- Assist in evaluating emerging technology trends and products
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 1+ years of experience working with RF Communication systems
- 1+ years of experience with Tactical Data Links (e.g., Link-16)
- 1+ years of experience with hands on support of IT Hardware such as setting up, configuring, modifying and troubleshooting switches, routers, network equipment, high performance computing equipment, and server racks
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 3 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience supporting product testing either in the flight or lab test environment
- Experience in systems design and/or systems analysis and/or systems integration
- Experience with flight line operations and ground operations procedures associated with flight testing
Typical Education/Experience:
Associate (Level 2)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master, 6 year's related work experience, etc.).
Experienced (Level 3)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.).
Senior (Level 4)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).
