Job Purpose
Our Flexographic Packaging Internship is an excellent way to gain practical experience related to flexographic plate making and printing. During this internship, you will receive hands-on training from the best in the business. We have in-house plate making systems where you will learn the complete process of flexo plate making, everything from file prepress to the shipping of thermal, solvent, and liquid flexo plates. You will also work with our R&D department, learning how new products are developed. You will have the opportunity to work with our marketing and sales departments to learn what it takes to succeed in the flexo printing business. At the completion of your internship, you will have the opportunity to present to our Global Senior Vice President regarding your learnings and specific projects you worked on.
Job Responsibilities
- Work within a laboratory environment and become expert in the operation and manufacture of various photopolymer plate needs including both sheet and liquid plate making and supporting technologies.
- Flexographic platemaking for internal and external use.
- Analyze customer-supplied plates and print samples and make sound recommendations based on a solid understanding of flexographic printing specifications.
- Operate in a self-directed team environment.
- Assist with project work as needed.
- Manage an assigned project and at the completion of the internship organize and conduct a review of learnings and project summaries.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a College or University.
- Candidate must be pursuing a degree in graphic communications or related field and have a GPA of 3.0 or better.
