6 months fixed term employment - Strategic Materials Planner

 

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Materials Planner to join our supply chain team in the Philippines. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans for materials procurement, inventory management, and demand forecasting. The Strategic Materials Planner will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the availability of materials, optimize inventory levels, and drive cost savings. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute strategic plans for materials procurement, inventory management, and demand forecasting.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand production requirements, sales forecasts, and customer demand patterns.
3. Analyze historical data, market trends, and customer insights to forecast demand accurately.
4. Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to optimize inventory turns and minimize stock-outs.
5. Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term partnerships.
6. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any supply chain disruptions.
7. Monitor market conditions, industry trends, and regulatory changes to identify potential risks and opportunities.
8. Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives, such as supplier consolidation, alternative sourcing, and inventory optimization.
9. Collaborate with production, logistics, and quality teams to ensure efficient materials flow and minimize lead times.
10. Prepare and present reports on key performance indicators, including inventory levels, supplier performance, and cost savings.

 

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
2. Proven experience in materials planning, procurement, and inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing or FMCG industry.
3. Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data and make data-driven decisions.
