FORUM Credit Union is looking for a dynamic First Mortgage Processing Assistant Manager to be a crucial part of our leadership team. You'll manage the daily operations of our processing team, driving performance, and fostering staff development.
The First Mortgage Processing Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing the processing functions of first mortgage, which includes training and developing staff, ensuring loans are processed in a timely and accurate fashion, and maintaining compliance with credit union and investor product guidelines.
This position is onsite in our Corporate HQ in Fishers, Indiana.
Responsibilities
What you'll do:
Provide leadership to the Mortgage Processing team to ensure efficient workflow management and achieve processing efficiency and quality objectives.
Develop and maintain comprehensive written policies and procedures for processing functions, and evaluate pipeline information to identify areas for improvement.
Monitor processing activities to ensure compliance with regulations, Credit Union policies, and investor guidelines, while staying informed on FNMA, FHA, and VA loan underwriting guidelines.
Collaborate with relevant managers to develop, implement, and enhance operational processes and efficiencies.
Assist in hiring, training, and motivating team members to achieve monthly goals, providing coaching, support, and recognition for their accomplishments.
Conduct regular team meetings to ensure consistent communication within the team and across departments.
Support the Assistant Vice President – Mortgage Operations in managing vendor relationships and ensure service quality aligns with Credit Union guidelines.

Qualifications
What we are looking for:
- A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school
- Three to five years of similar or related mortgage and leadership experience
