As a Firmwide Risk Earnings and Competitor Analysis Associate, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Be a part of a diverse and talented team of Controllers committed to excellence in data analytics, reporting, and a comprehensive control environment.
  • Stay up to date on the latest Risk related news and trends across the financial services industry, markets, geopolitics, and have the thought space to anticipate potential impact(s) on the Firm.
  • Have extensive engagement across a broad range of stakeholders, including Risk Executives, Investor Relations, Line of Business Controllers and Securities Exchange Commission and regulatory reporting teams.
  • Be encouraged to think creatively, challenge the status quo, and deliver enhancements across a multitude of strategic objectives impacting the Firmwide Risk, Finance and Risk Chief Financial Officer organizations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage Risk Management &Compliance Chief Financial officer processes for quarterly earnings, senior management meetings, investor conferences, and Investor Day; this includes governance, communications, procedure and control design, documentation, and the coordination of review meetings with the Risk Chief Financial Officer, Chief Risk Officers and other senior stakeholders
  • Collaborate across Risk and Finance to establish the narrative for a given time period, and to maintain consistency in messaging and drive the creation of attractive and user-friendly graphical representations of information that are standardized across reports
  • Analyze and challenge talking points drafted by partners to drive accuracy and precision, leveraging historical information and current macroeconomic events as guiding references
  • Coordinate a standard Competitor Analysis reporting package and live updates as peers release
  • Support the Risk Controllers intelligence agenda by staying up to date on the latest risk related news and driving awareness across the organization
  • Deliver enhancements across strategic objectives, including special projects related to intelligent solutions, Large Language Models, and other advanced technologies focused on improving document storage practices and easing access to information relevant to Risk Controllers and the broader Risk Management & Compliance and Finance organizations
  • Provide nimble program management support and senior leader presentations across Risk Controller priorities
  • Build and maintain meaningful relationships with a broad range of stakeholders to not only address Senior Leader questions and follow-ups, but to cultivate a shared sense of purpose and community

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
  • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated leadership with experience in Risk Management, Investor Relations, Securities Exchange Commission reporting or similar finance roles 
  • Strong ability to distill information into precise bullets, tables, and graphics that reach to the heart of a narrative
  • Enjoys collaborating across diverse groups to seek clarity and expand subject-matter expertise
  • Proactive in communicating insights and updates to colleagues across levels 
  • Spends time getting to know stakeholders and works together to achieve shared goals 
  • A passion for driving effective organization and consistent access to information across a team 
  • Embraces fun and curiosity

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Excellent desktop skills including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and other Office applications
  • Experience with collaboration tools, such as Microsoft Teams and Atlassian Confluence, is a plus
  • Strong sense of organization and ability to rationalize and simplify information
