To be considered you will need:

• A high school diploma or equivalent (college degree is preferred)
• A valid Driver’s License
• Fire Officer I Certification
• Advanced EMT or Paramedic License
• NIMS 100, 200, 300, 400, 700 and 800 compliant
• State Wildland Firefighter I Certified
• A minimum of five (5) years of full-time firefighting experience
• Successful completion of in-house company officer’s packet or equivalent experience
• To maintain physical condition to perform essential duties of the job
• To pass the annual Physical Fitness Minimum Standards
• A strong desire to further your career through additional training and certifications

• Oversee and direct firefighters to ensure quality work, accurate reports and documentation.
• Make recommendations to administration for employment advancement, retention and discipline.

• Serve as incident commander in the absence of a ranking supervisor.
• Participate in regularly scheduled meetings.
• Provide input for new equipment and supplies for essential operations.
• Responsible for the accurate completion of other duties as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
