Job: Fire alarm installer

Location: Longmont, CO

Type: Full time permanent employment

Pay: up to $30 an hour DOE

What you will do:
This skilled position involves installing, troubleshooting, configuring, commissioning, and servicing Fire Alarm Systems at our commercial customer’s sites including panel repair/reprogramming, device replacement/repair, resolving low voltage circuit troubles and system testing.

• Organize and effectively utilize technical resources, information, material, and support to ensure the efficient execution of all assigned tasks.
• The position involves the Installation and programming of fire alarms, security, and access control system panels, but will primarily focus on networked fire alarm systems.

 

Responsibilities:

• Install, program, and maintain alarm systems in commercial and governmental buildings.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout and installation of alarm systems.
• Perform troubleshooting and repairs on Fire Alarm Systems.
• Provide technical support to customers regarding alarm system operation and maintenance.

 

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of alarm system installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.
• Experience in fire alarm systems is required.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers.
• Valid Drivers License in good standing.
• Ability to pass background check and Drug Screen.
