12BASIC PURPOSE:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- As directed, develops processes and/or code to improve the efficiency and accuracy of current production processes.
- As directed, researches quantitative methods and financial theory to broaden the scope of current reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Management Committee, and Bank committees such as the Asset/Liability Committee.
- Prepares portions of bank-wide risk management reports, including, but not limited to: market value, duration and convexity reporting, income projections, stress-testing, risk-based capital, mortgage-backed securities prepayment backtesting.
- As directed, develops new reporting structures to enhance the clarity and accuracy of management reports.
- Completes all aspects of software development when developing new processes and/or code and prepares all materials needed to comply with the Bank’s model validation policy.
- Performs User Acceptance Testing and publishes operational procedures, methodology and code documentations when developing new processes and code. Communicates with other Bank departments as necessary to complete assignments requiring their inputs.
- As directed, researches improvements in the risk management software, develops and codes extensions of the software, or use of the software.
- Produces financial analyses, as directed, concerning specific facets of the Bank’s financial operations, including income projections, risk measurement, advances, mortgage loans, structured debt, and derivatives, including interest rate swaps, caps, floors, swap options, etc.
- Participates in the analysis of risk management software; implements, improves and maintains approved software, procedures, processes, etc.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Excel, VBA, SQL, option pricing models, Python, or other quantitative or data analysis software, and an understanding of interest rate modeling.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Attention to detail.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
A bachelor’s degree in finance, mathematics, statistics or engineering and at least three years of related experience in portfolio analysis, mortgage-backed securities prepayment analysis, mortgage credit analysis, financial modeling techniques, or the equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary. A master’s degree if no experience.
Work Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from
our Atlanta, GA office. This position may not be filled in New Jersey, either in-person or remotely.
Work Schedule: Onsite with an opportunity to work remote partially.
