The company also excels in many other types of reinforced plastics including interior sandwich panels for creating structures such as aircraft galleys and bulkheads, honeycomb core and related products.

 

The Gill Corporation is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst who is interested in partnering with various functional business leaders to provide critical tools and data to enable the business to make timely and informed decisions. This role is perfect for a highly-motivated and engaged professional who desires to utilize his/her analytical skills to identify opportunities for improvement and participate in their implementation.

 

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the person that fills the position will perform but not be limited to the following responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the preparation of monthly reporting and analysis of the Corporation’s operating results by business unit and product line.
  • Support the finance department with the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close.
  • Research and prepare in-depth analysis and explanations of variances to plan/forecast & prior year on a monthly/quarterly basis.
  • Develop a corporate dashboard and business intelligence system to provide corporate and business unit management with key sales, operational and financial data daily.
  • Develop standard corporate wide Key Performance Indicators (“KPIs”), using appropriate metrics, to improve corporate productivity and performance.
  • Routinely provide and update productivity and performance benchmarks for the corporation and its operating units.
  • Track Corporate and Business Unit Sales, Operational and Financial KPIs, provide analysis of trends and issues.  Find root causes of KPI scores below target and recommend solutions.
  • Research and resolve Business Unit(s) inquires for assigned functional areas.  Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis as requested.
  • Responsible for providing financial support for special projects to improve process efficiency and performance.
  • Lead the planning, preparation and consolidation of the annual corporate budget and quarterly reviews.
  • Implement process and procedures to prepare an annual three-year business plan.
  • Other essential duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance MBA and/or CPA preferred but not required.
  • Experience in a multi-location manufacturing corporation, with both domestic and international operations.  Experience in aerospace manufacturing would be a plus.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience as a financial analyst.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel, PowerPoint and corporate level ERP systems, including Business Intelligence/Performance Management Systems.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with SAP ERP and FIORI would be a plus.
