Financial Leader - Buildings

STV is seeking a Financial Leader for their Buildings Design Vertical group. This position will be designated as hybrid (3 days week/in office) in our New York, NY office.

Position Summary: The Finance Leader is responsible for overseeing the financial operations for the Buildings Design Vertical. This role includes strategic and financial planning, unit analysis, decision support for the vertical executive and reporting to ensure effective management and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy Development:

• Collaborate with the senior management team to develop the long-term strategy and model.  
• Evaluate financial feasibility and return on investment (ROI) for proposed projects and initiatives related to the buildings Vertical.
• Identify market trends, opportunities, and risks to inform strategic planning and decision-making.

Financial Planning and Budgeting:

• Prepare financial forecasts and projections to support strategic planning.
• Develop and manage annual budget, modeling the impact of key drivers.
• Monitor and control expenditures to ensure alignment with budgetary constraints.

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

• Conduct financial analysis to identify margin enhancement opportunities.
• Generate and present regular financial reports to senior management, highlighting key financial metrics and performance indicators.
• Oversee the preparation of financial statements related to buildings.
• Identify and implement process improvements to optimize financial reporting and operations.

Leadership and Team Management:

• Lead and mentor the finance team responsible for buildings design.
• Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
• Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and expertise of team members, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is preferred.
• Experience: At least 7-10 years of experience in finance, with a focus on buildings/facilities management, or related fields. Preferred experience within the AEC industry.
• Skills:

Compensation Range:

$167,720.00 - $223,627.00
