Health Connect America is dedicated to providing high-quality care for children and their families. We're looking for a Financial Data Analyst to join our dynamic data and analytics team. In this role, you'll be the crucial link between our clinical operations and our data, helping us use information to improve patient outcomes and streamline our services.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • This hybrid role blends business insight with technical skill—you’ll serve as the subject matter expert on our Power BI dashboards, manage analytics and reporting for patient programs, and support strategic decision-making across clinical, operational, and financial teams
  • Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations to executive leadership
  • Utilize data visualization tools to create and maintain key performance indicator (KPI) dashboards for various stakeholders, including executives and department leaders
  • Identify opportunities for increased efficiency and resource utilization by digging into and analyzing complex financial information
  • Drive data integrity by ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial and operational data used throughout the organization
  • Build custom reporting solutions from the ground up and enhance existing reports to provide stakeholders with the most relevant information.
  • Work with IT and other departments to optimize data collection, storage, and reporting systems.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information and investment decisions
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to the challenges and reporting needs of the organization
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support operations and mission of the company

Skills & Abilities:

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for turning complex data into valuable business insights.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including the full Office suite.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential; you’ll often be the bridge between technical teams, operations, and business stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and hardworking with a strong drive to deliver high-quality results.
  • A baseline knowledge of SQL and experience with healthcare data are strong advantages.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic, a solution-oriented mindset, and the ability to operate with minimal direction.
  • Naturally curious with a hunger to learn, ask questions, and continuously improve how we work.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Data Science, Business, or a related field; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
  • Significant experience with data visualization and business intelligence tools, including Power BI or Tableau.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, and Power Pivot.
  • Experience with Alteryx preferred
