We are hiring a Financial Analyst, Operations as part of the Glanbia Nutritionals (GN) Operations Finance team, which includes Southwest Cheese and MWC.  This team is responsible for operational financial modeling, performance/cost reporting, planning and analysis for manufacturing plants in Idaho, New Mexico, and Michigan.

 

Responsibilities for the Financial Analyst include:  

  • Periodic outlooks, forecast and the annual business plan for assigned Operations Finance and GN Operations departments, including in-depth variance analysis and interpreting results to leadership.
  • Key areas:
    • Idaho financial planning model, including transfer prices.
    • Finished goods inventory analysis.
    • Cheese freight recovery outlooks and budgeting.
  • Regular milk demand planning model across the GN Idaho facilities, analyze and monitor trends of component variances against plan and forecasts.
  • Prepare monthly milk analysis for performance causals and provide insightful commentary for commercial and operations packs.
  • Cheese freight recovery analysis and monthly close-out processes.
  • Analyze monthly GN Dairy spare parts analysis, including but not limited to slow moving parts, rebuilt parts tracking and reporting, and min/max inventory analysis reports.
  • Prepares monthly payroll analysis and headcount reports across Idaho, Southwest Cheese and MWC, analyze and interpret results, including but not limited to hours paid worked, hours paid not worked, and rate variances.
  • Support analysis of data as well as development/refinement of financial models related to continuous improvement initiatives and internal growth.
  • Collaborate with finance and operations teams across Idaho, New Mexico, and Michigan to drive efficiencies and standardization of processes across the organization.
  • Support Operations Controller in preparing monthly COO pack performance analysis and commentary. Partner with various manufacturing sites to follow up on items requiring further clarification and detail.

 

  

 The Skills you will bring to the team

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or similar
  • 1-5 years of experience within a finance or accounting position
  • Strong Excel skills including formulas and pivot tables
